The day has come when the tinsel must go away.
It’s always such a sad day. As I put the ornaments into box, I hear myself say this one is so special to me. This is a special one!
The presents have all been unwrapped, the pretty paper is now all gone. With little bits of ribbon lay under the tree. Oh how pretty it all was.
The bones of the Turkey lay in the fridge. What should I do with this?
The little ones are all playing with all their new toys, you hear laughter in the air, they don’t have a care in the world you see.
The big kids have to go back to work you see, to play catch up, for the few days they took off for the holidays.
Everything in the store is now 80% off.the days, before Christmas, what
A rip-off!!
The days are getting shorter, it’s time to get warm and snuggle in my chair.
And think of things that I must do.
But there is no hurry, there’s lots more cold and dark days of winter yet to come.
The diet I must start, can wait till the 1st of the year. Those chocolate covered cherries, need to be out of here. I’ll just eat them all up, so they don’t tempt me.
The New Year’s resolution doesn’t really help me, I just do what I do. I won’t do one this year.
So now all there to do is snuggle down, and wait for spring to come. And a new beginning. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
