It was blizzard of 1894. Oh what a blizzard it was.

Bonnie, Billie & Bobbie were excited you see.

They were thriving and growing like tree’s lots of new things

To do. The favorite thing for them was playing in the snow.

Making snowmen, and angel’s having snow ball fights!

But this was different this time, it’s coming at faster pace.

They would not be allowed to go out until the wind had slowed down.

So they settled down by the warm fire.

Dolly had made a huge pot of soup, and some homemade bread.

And to top it off. Marshmallows for their hot chocolate. Now that really was a treat.

Sitting by the fire, the boys would tell tall tales,giggling and wiggling all the time you see. Because they loved to take one of each others socks put them on their. Feet,

But by this time Dolly didn’t really care, because she knew who was who..

But she didn’t let on, she just played along, watching the boy giggle about fooling her.

She was beginning to get worried about Jim,hope he’s not been caught in the blizzard.

Just about then big Jim came in, soaked from head to toe. He had stayed at Emporium,

To make sure, all the towns people had what they need to brace the storm.

Now he was glad to be home.Every one was always happy to see him! 

Just at that time, out of his pocket he pulled out three peppermint sticks.

They all sat around the fire, eating their soup, and drinking their wonderful 

Hot chocolate topped with the marshmellow, that Dolly had made.

Jim ‘s favorite thing to do, was to tell the kids the time he made the big strike,and

Won Dolly La Roo’s heart. They never tired of that story! Now they  have a new tall
