The Saga of Dolly La Roo: Chapter 6

Everything is going well, the school is now open.

Children come from miles around, to learn and meet the new teacher.

He had come from the east, and the tales he had to tell,

Would capture the children’s imagination. And their parents as well.

Bonnie Bell was doing so well, she was such a delight, she would sit in the window seat, and read all day and night.

But now there was the boys. They just couldn’t sit still they would be all over the place.

They would explore the caves, in hopes of hitting their first silver strike. Just like their Dad had done. Dolly didn’t mind because it kept  them busy.

Dolly had all day, all by herself, she would go down and help at the Emporium.

Soon she started thinking what could she do?

Every Saturday she had a routine, her and Bonnie would put on their dancing slippers.

And dance all over the house, what fun they both had.

Then she had an idea. There is no entertainment in Silverwood, she pitched the idea to Jim. He said let’s do it! So on Main Street they opened  Dolly La Roo’s dance studio.

Before you knew it. So many people had signed up. They had to have three classes.

They would go for 12 weeks. And have a show, to show what they had learned.

It was a big hit, and so it went. She and the town ladies would work thru the night to make the Dance costumes, that were a delight. Even the boys would paint the background for them. But I think more paint was on them. The big day came Dolly was so proud.

With Jim by her side, it would begin. Everyone came in their Sunday best. With flowers for the dancers. And everyone loved it and so it would continue. So Dolly’s dancing slippers had not retired just yet. Silverwood was getting bigger. What would be next? We will just have to wait and see.
