My brother, sent me music that we played in our youth.
It made me realized how much I missed these sounds.
Now the music is dancing in my head, I can not let it go.
The sounds of yesterday, and times of long ago.
Thank you Mickey, for reminding me. Of All these things I loved.
I think of how we laughter and played our records by the hours.
How we argued, which was the better group.
And thank you Mom and Dad, for putting up with us. You see they like our music too.
That meant so very much.
I would love to write rock and roll songs, but the best ones have already been
Written. I’ll keep trying but, I can’t seem to put the words together.
To make it sound just right.
Oh that ROCK AND ROLL
It was so new, so wild and so flamboyant.
It is hard to beat, you could feel the. Rhythm from your head down to your feet.
It was not just the music, it was the whole scene.
The music told a story, and idea’s to come, you see.
What is strange about the music, a lot of it is relevant today.
Just listen to the protest songs, and listen to what they say.
Thank you for the music. Thank you I must say.
Because of the music it’s who I am today.
